AK Pro Beads
Hand-painted egg patterns devised by Alaskan trout guides to fool big wary trout in SW Alaska and beyond

Our Products

Cotton Candy:  These beads attempt to imitate an egg that has been in the water for awhile and has become milky and washed out.  These are go to beads all the way through the egg drop, especially on bright days when light can shine through and make them sparkle.

Available in 6mm and 8mm sizes.

Freshies:  These beads are bright eggs right out of the egg shoot that didn't get fertilized and are rolling free down the creek or river.  They are big time producers in riffle and fast water dumps off the back of gravel flats.  Get 'em while they're fresh.

Available in 6mm and 8 mm sizes.

Orange Pearlescent:  These beads imitate a brighter, fresher egg that has recently been dropped.  They work well early in August, when sockeye have just started to dig and drop eggs.  At this time of year, you will find trout right behind the freshly dug redds.

Available in 6mm and 8mm sizes.

Fresh Swirls:  These beads resemble an unfertilized egg that has been in the water for awhile.  The bottom side gets milky while the top remains clear and translucent.  These work well throughtout the egg drop.

Available in 6mm and 8mm sizes.
